CYCLOMED has developed a cyclotron-type particle accelerator that makes it possible to produce short-lived PET isotopes such as Carbon-11 or Fluorine-18. This allows to expand PET scan tracer alternatives for nuclear medicine imaging.

Our cyclotron integrates superconducting technology to accelerate particles at 8.5 MeV minimizing the size of the equipment.

As a compact cyclotron with one of the smallest sizes on the market (1.5 m3), it can be installed in the same center where the PET scan is to be carried out, allowing on-site & on-demand
isotopes production.

Moreover, the self-shielded version of the compact cyclotron reduces radiation exposure by allowing it to be handled safely without the need to be installed in a bunker.
